Oathfall Privacy Policy

Effective November 5, 2026 · Last updated November 5, 2026

This privacy policy explains what Bryant Designs LLC (“Bryant Designs”, “we”, “us”) does with information when you play Oathfall on iPhone, iPad, Android or Steam, and when you visit bryantdesignsllc.com. It is written to be read, not skimmed; the short version comes first.

The short version

  • Oathfall keeps your progress on your device. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location or anything from other apps.
  • The game works offline.
  • We never sell your personal information.
  • You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, and withdraw any permission you gave, at info@bryantdesignsllc.com.
  • The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

1. Who we are

Bryant Designs LLC is a New Mexico limited liability company based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. We publish Oathfall. For anything in this policy, write to info@bryantdesignsllc.com or use our contact form.

For the information described in this policy we are the “data controller” (the party that decides why and how it is used) in the sense of the GDPR and the UK GDPR, and the “business” in the sense of the California Consumer Privacy Act.

2. What the game stores on your device

When you play, Oathfall saves your progress in the app’s own storage on your device: your heroes, upgrades, currencies, chapters cleared, run records, your settings (sound, reduced motion, view size), and a local log of in-game events (for example, “a run started”, “a card was picked”) that the game writes for its own use. It also keeps a short technical log of the most recent session to help diagnose problems.

If you use the optional age check under Settings → Diagnostics, the game stores the birth year you enter on your device so that it can apply age rules (see section 9).

None of this leaves your device unless a section below says so, or unless you choose to send it (for example with “Share Debug Log” in Settings, which hands the technical log to the sharing options on your phone so you can send it wherever you like).

Deleting the app deletes all of it. The game has no account to delete because it has none to create.

3. Information that may leave your device or reach us

Buying the game

Payments are handled by Apple, Google or Valve under their own terms and privacy policies. We never see your card or bank details.

Beta testing

If you test Oathfall through Apple’s TestFlight or a Google Play test track, Apple or Google collect the feedback, screenshots and crash reports you choose to send through their apps, together with your device model, operating system version and the build number, and show them to us. They may also show us the name or email address you joined the test with. Apple’s and Google’s own privacy policies govern that collection.

Playing on Steam

The Steam version is a one-time purchase with no shop, ads, cloud backup or statistics of ours. Valve’s Steam client collects information such as your Steam ID, playtime and achievements under Valve’s privacy policy.

The website

bryantdesignsllc.com is hosted by Netlify. Netlify’s servers keep ordinary web-server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and operations under Netlify’s privacy policy. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising scripts.

If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you enter are stored by Netlify and emailed to us so that we can reply. If you email us, we keep the email to answer it.

4. Who else receives information

We share information only with the service providers below, each for the purpose stated, and with no one else except as required by law. We do not sell personal information. Each provider handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.

Apple Inc.
App Store distribution, payments and TestFlight, under Apple's terms. Email sent to us also passes through iCloud Mail. Apple's privacy policy.
Google LLC
Google Play distribution, payments and test tracks, under Google's terms. Email and contact-form messages also reach us through Gmail. Google's privacy policy.
Valve Corporation
Steam distribution and payments, under Valve's terms. Valve's privacy agreement.
Netlify, Inc.
Hosting the website. Netlify receives web-server logs and stores contact-form messages. Netlify's privacy policy.

Some of these companies are in the United States; some may process data in other countries. See section 11.

For readers in the EEA, UK and Switzerland:

Running the game on your device and saving your progress
Performance of our contract with you (providing the game).
Answering messages you send us
Our legitimate interest in replying to you, and your choice to send them.
Security, abuse prevention and legal compliance
Our legitimate interest, and our legal obligations.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time (section 8), and withdrawing it does not affect what was done before.

6. How long we keep information

  • On your device: until you delete the app or clear its data. The game never deletes your save by itself.
  • Contact-form messages and email: as long as needed to answer you and to keep records of any work that follows; otherwise up to 12 months.
  • Web-server logs: kept by Netlify under its own privacy policy.

When a period ends we delete the information or make it anonymous.

7. Tracking and advertising identifiers

Oathfall does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites and does not use your device’s advertising identifier. The website sets no cookies and shows no ads.

8. Your rights and how to use them

Wherever you live, you can email info@bryantdesignsllc.com to:

  • ask what information we hold about you and get a copy;
  • ask us to correct it;
  • ask us to delete it;
  • ask us to stop or limit using it, or object to a use based on legitimate interest;
  • withdraw a consent you gave;
  • ask for a copy in a machine-readable form, where the law gives that right;
  • opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising, where the law gives that right.

The game has no account and sends us nothing by itself, so we usually hold nothing about you beyond messages you have sent us and what Apple, Google or Valve show us. We answer within one month (45 days for California requests) and may ask for enough information to confirm the request is yours. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you may also complain to your data-protection authority. If you are in California, you may use an authorized agent to make a request, and you have the right to know the categories of personal information we collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclosed it to; sections 3 and 4 are that list.

9. Children

Oathfall is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in some countries) and is intended for teenagers and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game includes an optional age check; if the answer says the player is under 13, the game disables in-app purchases. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email info@bryantdesignsllc.com and we will delete it.

10. Security

The website is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Saves on your device are integrity-checked so a corrupted save is detected. The service providers in section 4 hold the data they receive in their own secured systems, and access on our side is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires if a breach affects you.

11. International transfers

We are in the United States and so are most of our providers, so information from people outside the US is processed in the US and possibly in other countries where a provider operates. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the transfer relies on the provider’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, as stated in each provider’s terms.

12. Changes

We will post changes here with a new effective date, and tell you inside the game when a change adds a new kind of collection or sharing. Older versions are available on request.
